In autumn 2010, FUJIFILM launched the X100, a compact design to timeless beautifully neat casing equipped with a lens Fujinon 23mm fixed focal length F2 (35mm equivalent 24x36) dedicated to reporting and enjoying an excellent quality of picture. His unique style and its international success has enabled a new kind of high-end compact, designed in the spirit of optimum operability, to win. In January 2013, FUJIFILM was pleased to announce the FUJIFILM X100 S , FUJIFILM X100 successor, inheriting its elegant design and its high performance goal while benefiting from developments responding precisely to the requirements of users. It thus has a hybrid viewfinder of higher resolution , a new sensor and a new processor , and many advanced features.

X-Trans sensor: enjoy full definition

The new X-Trans CMOS sensor APS-C II 16.3 million pixels and the new EXR II processor definition increase of about 25% and reduce noise over 30 %. They are able to take pictures in high resolution, comparable to those from full-frame sensors. With no optical low-pass filter and a powerful processor, FUJIFILM X100S produces sharp images with minimal grain, even at high sensitivity.

Focus Hybrid: contrast detection and phase

The new X-Trans CMOS sensor II is dedicated to the development phase detection pixels, which provides the world's fastest AF in Read only 0.08 seconds. In addition, the EXR II processor ensures ultra-short time response, the startup of the device takes place in just 0.5 seconds (approx.) for an interval between two shots of 0.5 seconds. The response time to trigger is only 0.01 s. You can then accurately capture the expected time and live a fulfilling photographic experience.

Two assistants manual focus

The FUJIFILM X100S also includes a world first, the function "Digital Split Image" (telemetry vision), displaying two images (left and right) superimposed in manual focus. This feature allows high accuracy especially when shooting at full aperture or macro mode. This case also features a practical function, "Focus Highlight Peak" (assistant area of sharpness), highlighting areas of high micro-contrast subject (depth of field) to allow a more flexible fit and finish powering developed.

Hybrid referred HD: the best of both worlds OVF and EVF

Depending on the subject and the scene, you can switch between two types of viewfinders: optical or electronic. The optical viewfinder (OVF) is useful when you want to see your subject with the same clarity to the naked eye, or when the reactivity of the trip is a priority. The electronic viewfinder (EVF) is now at 2.36 megapixels, allows you to focus 100% and visually check the focus, exposure, white balance and depth of field to perfectly compose your picture.

A variation of FUJIFILM X100S in "full black"

Today, early in January 2014, Fujifilm announced the launch of a version in "full black" to better meet the pressing demand of photographers.
Its high-end components, including top and knobs are all black to give it a prestigious appearance. Very discreet, it blends perfectly into the landscape. With its extremely quiet trip, it goes unnoticed in all circumstances.
